dreams
the other night i had a pretty intense dream that i was pregnant. in the dream my friend jodi was also pregnant and like a month further along than i was, so i went to her for advice and help. anyhow, i had this little round tummy bulge that was very solid to the touch and this specific sort of tummy ache that in my dream was associated with "i am pregnant". it was one of those realistic dreams.

i woke up and was like, "oh...it was just a dream!" but then i got sort of scared because my stomach still had that exact same very interesting achey feeling AND felt very very solid. i was a little bit nervous. until i remembered the rather large beale street cheeseburger and fries dinner i had eaten the night before.

"ahhhh," i thought to myself, "this is just a cheeseburger baby". and i drifted off back into a happy sleep.

goodness gracious! i've been busy having ridiculous wedding anxiety dreams (i'm wasted and walking down the aisle with mascara running down my face towards buster: a *humungous* black man!). i hope that baby anxiety dreams don't start up once i'm a married lady.

i suppose that no matter what, i can't escape anxiety dreams. unless i start smoking pot before bed again. mmmm.

ima have a cheeseburger for lunch now!

i think i avoided wedding anxiety dreams by avoiding having a wedding. then again my anxiety dreams seem to have little to do with reality. my most frequent ones still involve realizing that i'd forgotten to attend a class for an entire semester and it was suddenly the day of the final. this has never happened to me in my life, and since i'm over school like forever, it never shall!

pot makes me so paranoid i don't even want to think about what kinds of dreams i would have if i smoked before bed!

see, I did skip classes for an entire semester and yet I've never had anxiety dreams about that!

I think I may just start using the phrase "cheeseburger baby" as shorthand for an especially anxiety-inducing false alarm.

And then everyone will wonder what the hell I'm talking about.
